Common questions
My reflection won't save
Saving needs at least 20 characters and a mood selected. The button tells you which is missing. Tap Done above the keyboard to put it away and reach the Save button.
I missed a day — is my streak gone?
No. One missed day in any 30 doesn't break your streak. When a grace day is holding it, the app says so on the Your Journey card.
The festival dates look different from my calendar
Dharma computes festivals from the lunar month and tithi that define them, using the Lahiri ayanāṁśa and the tithi prevailing at sunrise. Published calendars can differ by a day depending on their reference city and whether an observance follows sunrise or pradosh.
How do I change my name or tradition?
Tap the gear icon on the Home screen. You can also review what the app stores, delete your journal, or reset everything from there.
Notifications aren't arriving
Check Settings inside the app, then iOS Settings → Notifications → Dharma. The daily verse, sadhana reminders and festival reminders each have their own switch in the app.
Does Dharma work offline?
Yes, entirely. Verses, reflections, Panchang, festivals, the Dharma Guide and every practice tool work with no connection. The app makes no network requests at all.
Where is my data?
On your iPhone. If you have iCloud Backup switched on, it travels in your phone's normal device backup like any other app's data — Dharma doesn't sync it separately. Nothing is sent anywhere else. See the privacy policy.
